Unsure where to send your children during the teachers' strike? Join our special fall camps at the Military Museums!

 

At The Military Museums Foundation, we believe that learning should be fun. That's why our camps are designed to provide an immersive experience where children can explore the fascinating world of military history through interactive exhibits, workshops, and games. From learning about ancient civilizations to understanding modern warfare techniques, our camps cover various topics that will captivate young minds.

Our friendly and knowledgeable interpreters are passionate about making history come alive for young learners. They are dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore their interests. Whether your child is a history enthusiast or simply curious about the world around them, our camps provide an enriching experience that will ignite their curiosity and foster a love for learning.

Activities take place inside and outside the museums, taking advantage of our facilities and spaces to let children explore Canadian military history fully.

 

While our summer camps focus on military themed games and light tours, our fall camps will consist of both themed games and our school field trip programs. These programs are based around the Alberta curriculum and are adaptable for multiple school ages.

Drop-In Camp Dates for 2025

Ages: 8-13

8:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Latest drop-off time is 8:30 AM, latest pick-up time is 4:00 PM

Monday - Friday, October 6th - 10th 2025

Tuesday - Friday, October 14th - 17th 2025

Monday - Friday, October 27th - 31st 2025

Only need to book camp for a few scattered days? Need to book for the full week? No problem! Our camp days are self contained, so no previous knowledge is required to participate. They also change each day to give variety to our repeat campers. 

Pricing:

Single Day Rate: $70.00 per day

Our website payment portal will be open once the teachers strike is confirmed. We are also able to accept payment in person during the morning of camp days. Cash, credit, and debit can be accepted.

If paying with cheque: all cheques need to be made out to "The Military Museums Foundation." These can be dropped to the front desk of the museum during business hours or given to staff the morning of camp. Ensure that it is in an envelope that also contains the participant's name and the day/days they are participating in.

Please note that fall camps will only proceed if the potential teachers' strike takes place.
